So Mike and I are sitting here sharing our recent experiences about how Katie can understand some of our demands. She walks up to Mike, hands him a book, and we both hear her say

"I like..."

We start repeating it in AmaZeMenT when she finishes...

"book"

We are dumbfounded and just stare at her!

Look Who's One

Katelyn had her FiRsT Birthday on Sunday.

We had a mini party for her, but will be celebrating with some more local family this weekend.

She has spent a majority of her baby life off the growth charts (she's TiNy) but this week she is now about in the 25% for weight and 50% for height. This was a BIG surprise. I liked my lilttle baby!

Katie has been walking since about 91/2 months

has 6 teeth

and has lots of hair

Of course she is a bit of a stinker. When she does things she shouldn't be doing, we shake our heads and say no. Now, before she even starts doing one of these things, she shakes her head no, BUT Does IT ANYwaYS!

She loves to body slam her and to spank her butt!

We have enjoyed every minute with Katelyn.

For those who haven't seen lil Katelyn...here she is. She is now 41/2 months old...Time sure flies!! She looks just like Ashley did, but with brown hair. At least I can say she looks a little more like me, but otherwise she is daddy all the way! Yes...she always bugs out her eyes!!! But aren't they beautiful??
This is the only pic I found of her smiling!! Isn't that pathetic... I'll be sure to work on that!

My BIG little girl

So yesterday was Ashley's 5th birthday. I can't believe it. She is sooo old!! Since I am still trying to figure out all this blogging stuff, I wasn't prepared to post a bithday pic...but here's one of her at Nana's house after Christmas playing dress-up. She is definately a girly-girl. I have tons of fun with her...
